Today, we’re thrilled to announce Susie Ortega has been promoted to Assistant Director of Compliance. With over 20 years of experience in the affordable housing industry, Susie brings tremendous depth and perspective to every project. Before joining MLCM, she served as Senior Compliance Manager at RELATED Management Company, where she oversaw compliance for more than 16,000 units across 10 states. Prior to that, she spent 11 years at PHFA as a Senior Housing Management Representative, giving her direct insight into state agency compliance and policy implementation.

Susie holds several respected accreditations including HCCP, TaCC, CPM, ARE, and C3P, and is well-versed in LIHTC, HOME, HTF, RD, and HUD program requirements. Susie helps to guide clients through the most challenging aspects of:

• Federal LIHTC compliance
• HUD and Rural Development regulations
• HOME and HTF program requirements
• PHFA-specific certification and reporting standards

Her experience is a direct asset to our training programs as well, including the LIHTC Basics Workshop, the Advanced LIHTC Workshop with HCCP Exam, and our PHFA LIHTC and HOME Compliance Requirements training.
